January 4, 1956 Knicks beat Celtics 2nd day in a row

For the 2nd straight day the Knicks were victors over the Boston Celtics. In a doubleheader this time in Syracuse the Knicks beat the Celtics 103-86. The Knicks went into the 4th quarter with a 73-65, in the 4th Celtic Ernie Barrett hit 4 straight shots to tie the game at 77. The Celtics soon took a 81-80 lead before the Knicks scored 15 straight points to go up 95-81 and put the game out of reach. The loss brought the Celtics record to 16-11.

In the feature game of the doubleheader the Warriors beat the Nationals 88-87 after Neil Johnston hit a game winning free throw. Johnston led all scorers with 26 points.
