February 18,1956- Warriors defeat Celtics 115-101

The Boston Celtics played their 1st game after a 6 day layoff and were defeated by the league leading Philadelphia Warriors 115-101 in front of 4500 fans in New Haven, Connecticut. The Celtics had a 4th quarter lead of 87-84 before Paul Arizin scored twice, Neil Johnston, and Jack George all added baskets and the Warriors would lead for the rest of the game. Boston was outscored 34-19 in the 4th quarter. Neil Johnston scored 38 points for the Warriors leading all scorers. Boston's season record dropped to 31-25.
